The pull-up bar E2 features exactly what is necessary for an effective pull-up workout - a horizontal tube acting as the bar and two wall mounts that are fully welded together. This makes the construction highly robust, even allowing for muscle-ups.

The required length of the E2 is determined individually and specified during the ordering process. Measuring the length is straightforward and described in detail below.

How is the length of the pull-up bar E2 measured?

The distance is measured directly at the two mounting points using two folding rules.

Specific measurement procedure (Recommendations)

  1. First, the two mounting points on the wall, i.e., the specific height at which the bar should hang, must be determined as precisely as possible.

  2. The first folding rule is placed exactly on the mounting point on the first wall, and the second folding rule is placed exactly on the opposite mounting point on the second wall.

  3. The total distance is read as the sum of two distances on both folding rules (i.e., a random point is defined on the overlapping folding rules, for example at 1000 mm measured from the left, and then the length on the other folding rule is added).

  4. A deduction of 3 mm is made from the measured total distance. If necessary, the distance is measured multiple times (e.g., 3 times), an average is calculated, and then the 3 mm are deducted.

Important: A deduction of 3 mm must be made from the measured length to ensure the perfect fit of the pull-up bar. The required length must be measured as precisely as possible between the two desired mounting points, as walls are often not perfectly built or plastered.

The distance between the walls frequently varies by 2 - 6 mm depending on the chosen measuring points. If two folding rules are unavailable, the distance can also be determined with just one folding rule. However, this is more tedious than working with two rules. Measurement and calculation example: The measured length is 1470 mm. The length after deducting 3 mm is 1467 mm (calculated as a difference: 1470 mm - 3 mm = 1467 mm). Thus, 1467 mm is specified as the desired length when ordering.

Determining the length with a laser distance meter

If the length is to be determined using a laser distance meter, the actual total distance must be measured 3 - 5 times at the desired mounting location. The laser distance meter should always be shifted by approximately 5 mm in different directions (up, down, left, and right), and then the average of the measured lengths is calculated.

Specific procedure for measuring with a laser distance meter (Recommendations)

  1. The laser distance meter is placed on a mounting point on one wall, turned on, and the measured distance is read.

  2. The laser distance meter is shifted by approx. 5 mm upwards, downwards, to the left, and to the right, reading the measured distance each time.

  3. An average is calculated from the five measured total lengths.

  4. Subsequently, 3 mm are deducted from the average.

A minimalist pull-up bar for mounting from above between two beams was requested. With this type of mounting, the drill holes for the screws would not be directly visible if the pull-up bar were removed later. This requirement was implemented relatively easily (see the production image below showing the special mounting plate).

The customer image below illustrates how the pull-up bar E2 can be utilized to create a small calisthenics park at home. For this setup, a wooden beam was first mounted vertically to the ceiling, and then the lower end of the beam was connected to both walls. Two E2 models (1000 mm and 1740 mm), attached to the beam at a 90° angle, function as robust connecting pieces.

Yes and no, as it can be selected optionally. Mounting hardware can also be added separately to the shopping cart here.

Is there an optimal mounting height? How high above the floor should the pull-up bar hang?

Yes, ideally the pull-up bar should hang 30% above the individual's body height. In this case, the floor will no longer be touched while hanging. This means, for example, for a body height of 1.8 m, the pull-up bar should hang 2.34 m above the floor. Generally, the following formula applies: Ideal mounting height = Body height x 1.3. If the room height does not allow for this, the legs must be bent slightly during use.

Where can the pull-up bar E2 be mounted at home?

The pull-up bar E2 can be mounted between any sturdy walls. All hallways with a width of up to 200 cm are highly suitable for this, as shown in the example image below.

It is crucial that the measured length is reduced by 3 mm. Otherwise, it will not be possible to position the pull-up bar horizontally at the mounting location. The remaining clearance of 1.5 mm on each side disappears when the wall plates are screwed on, as they bend towards the wall during tightening and then lie completely flat.

What is the diameter of the pull-up bar and how thick is the material?

The diameter of the pull-up bar at all grip areas is 3 cm or 30 mm. The wall thickness of the tube is 3 mm. From a length of 1500 mm, the pull-up bar is manufactured as a fully welded tube-in-tube construction to guarantee exceptional rigidity even up to a span of 200 cm.

Is the bar knurled, roughened, or polished?

All grip areas are unknurled and not roughened. They are brushed or ground with a grit size of 240. This means the surface offers slightly more grip and is rougher than a polished finish.

Can the pull-up bar also be mounted between wooden posts or on wood?

Yes, by using screws with a wood thread and without dowels. The wood should be pre-drilled, using a 3 to 4 mm drill bit for 8 mm screws. The wood or beam must be sturdy and provide a sufficiently large contact area for the mounting plates. The drill holes should be placed approximately 2 cm away from the edge to prevent the wood from splintering.

Can the concrete mounting set also be used on a wooden beam?

Yes, but the dowels are not required for this type of installation. The 8 mm hanger bolts included in this set also feature a wood thread and can be screwed directly into the wood. For this purpose, the wood simply needs to be pre-drilled with a 3 to 4 mm wood drill bit.

Is the person's weight included in the maximum load capacity of 150 kg?

The maximum load capacity refers to the maximum possible weight that the user is permitted to apply to the bar.

Is the pull-up bar also suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, the pull-up bar can be utilized outdoors as well as indoors, as it is manufactured from premium, rust-resistant stainless steel.

It should be noted that the pull-up bar must not be installed in a maritime atmosphere, i.e., in close proximity to a sea or an ocean (e.g., the North Sea coast, the Baltic Sea coast, or the Atlantic coast).

Can the pull-up station also support a punching bag? Does the pull-up bar hold a punching bag as well?

Yes, a punching bag can be attached to the pull-up bar without any issues. This can be done directly on the tube using a round sling and a carabiner. Is the pull-up bar also available in white or another color?

No, the pull-up bar is currently not available in white or any other painted finish.

Is the actual pull-up bar made of solid steel?

No, the pull-up bar itself consists of a highly durable tube with a wall thickness of 3 mm.

How deep do the screws go into the wall?

The hanger bolts measure 8 x 60 mm. The dowels measure 10 x 50 mm. Consequently, the screws penetrate a solid 50 mm into the wall.
