Stainless steel hanger bolt set designed for the secure installation of pull-up bars in wood, highly suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
For the general installation of a hanger bolt, the following procedure is recommended: The hanger bolt should always be screwed into the wall plug together with the washer, utilizing the cap nut. Conversely, removing the hanger bolt from a wall plug is performed as follows: Two standard nuts are threaded consecutively onto the hanger bolt so they firmly lock against each other. By turning the nut positioned closest to the masonry, the hanger bolt can be easily unscrewed.
Installation in Wood
When mounting a pull-up bar utilizing hanger bolts directly into wooden beams or purlins, the use of wall plugs is not required. To effectively relieve tension from the wood and prevent splitting, pre-drilling the holes is highly recommended, ideally utilizing a 3.5 to 4 mm drill bit.

Is the mounting material included in the scope of delivery for pull-up bars?
Yes and no. The mounting hardware is offered as an optional addition.
How tight should the hanger bolts be secured?
The hanger bolts should be tightened firmly, but not excessively. This means they should not be driven in using sheer brute force until further rotation is impossible. Tighten them with careful consideration. As soon as it is noticeable that they have securely gripped the material and are fully seated, they are sufficiently tightened. It is important to note that hanger bolts sometimes bite into masonry very quickly; therefore, proceeding with a steady and controlled motion right from the start is highly recommended.
Is there an optimal mounting height for a pull-up bar?
Yes, ideally, the pull-up bar should be mounted 30% higher than the user's total body height. At this height, the feet will clear the ground when hanging freely. For example, if a person is 1.8 m tall, the pull-up bar should ideally hang 2.34 m above the floor. In general, the following formula applies: Ideal mounting height = Body height * 1.3. If the ceiling height of the room does not permit this, the legs must simply be slightly bent during execution.
