Stainless Steel Hanger Bolt Mounting Set

Stainless steel hanger bolt set designed for the secure indoor and outdoor installation of pull-up bars.

For the proper installation of the hanger bolt, the following procedure is recommended: The hanger bolt is always screwed into the wall plug together with the washer, utilizing the cap nut. The removal of the hanger bolt from the wall plug, on the other hand, is carried out as follows: Two standard nuts are threaded consecutively onto the hanger bolt so that they firmly lock against each other. By turning the nut positioned closest to the masonry, the hanger bolt can then be easily unscrewed.

Installation in Concrete Ceilings/Walls:

When inserting hanger bolts into concrete ceilings or walls, it must be ensured that the drill holes are not too narrow. Similar to galvanized screws, the use of a 10 mm drill bit is highly recommended. Due to their design, hanger bolts are less susceptible to the cap nut breaking off, as the torque is distributed evenly across the thread. Nevertheless, the high-quality nylon wall plug may tightly enclose the hanger bolt, which can make the screwing process more difficult.

Installation in Brick Masonry:

For solid brick, sand-lime brick, and slag brick, it must be ensured that the drill holes are not too large. A common mistake is using a hammer drill on brick masonry, as it seemingly requires less effort to drill the hole. However, the hammer function is highly disadvantageous in this case, as it can damage the internal structure of the bricks rather than creating clean holes, resulting in frayed or oversized drill holes.

Installation in Wood:

When mounting a pull-up bar utilizing hanger bolts directly into wooden beams or purlins, the use of wall plugs is not required. To effectively relieve tension from the wood and prevent splitting, pre-drilling the holes is highly recommended, ideally utilizing a 3.5 to 4 mm drill bit.

Installation in Aerated Concrete / Cellular Concrete:

This mounting set is strictly not suitable for the installation of a pull-up bar on aerated concrete, cellular concrete, or lightweight concrete walls.
